LGNSW Water Forum

LGNSW invites you to join us for a special Water Forum on Thursday 16 July 2020. This new online forum will be held in addition to the in-person LGNSW Water Management Conference due to take place on 6-8 October 2020.

This forum is kindly sponsored by the Water Directorate and registrations are now open.

Joining us at the online forum will be special guest the Hon. Melinda Pavey MP, Minister for Water, Property and Housing to discuss the NSW Government’s strategy to achieve a sustainable water supply. Also presenting will be Dr Jim Bentley, Chief Executive Officer, Water Department of Planning Industry and the Environment, and Professor Stuart Khan, School of Civil & Environmental Engineering, University of NSW.

This online forum will put the spotlight on how regional solutions and investing in water utility resilience is vital for NSW communities particularly given the severe challenges of bushfires, droughts and contaminations in the last 18 months. Our speakers will share their perspectives on future investment in water sustainability, (both water supply and demand) and what this means for local government.  A Q&A session will also take place to give you the opportunity to ask questions to each of the speakers.

The price of this forum is $66.00 per person including GST.  Delegates who purchase tickets to both the online forum and the in-person conference in October will receive a discount of $44 including GST off their conference ticket.
